Surfrider Paddle For Clean Water 9/16

Surfrider will be putting on its annual Paddle For Clean Water at the Ocean Beach Pier, San Diego California on Sunday September 16 from  9 a.m. To 12. The focus is trying to raise awareness for the pollution issues along San Diego’s awesome coastline. Everyone come on down!

The Surfrider Foundation San Diego Chapter’s 21st Annual Paddle for Clean Water is non-competitive event in which surfers and ocean enthusiasts paddle around the Ocean Beach Pier to demonstrate the need for clean water and healthy coastlines. Several hundred are expected to participate.

There will be free breakfast for all paddlers, guest speakers, music provided by local reggae band Project: Out of Bounds, opportunity drawings, a beach cleanup and donation-based yoga.

WHO:
Surfrider Foundation staff, volunteers, activists, supporters and concerned citizens.

WHY:
The Surfrider Foundation is grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of oceans, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network. The San Diego Chapter’s annual Paddle for Clean Water event is focused on raising awareness about the pollution problems along San Diego’s coastline.
